Animated Digital Collage

This piece is built from objects I collected during my time under quarantine: MetroCards, rapid tests, blister packs, prescription slips. They became markers of stillness, of waiting. Through layering and repetition, I wanted to reflect the strange tension of those days—between chaos and care, motion and monotony.
The title, new year, new me, carries irony. I wasn’t transformed by intention, but by circumstance. This work is a record of that pause.

12 polaroid portraits hover in a digital space, each overlaid with a cryptic phrase. When the viewer interacts, the image inverts—revealing a second voice, a second truth.
This piece explores the contradictions between perception and reality, the stories we tell about others, and the ones we hide within ourselves. The subjects remain anonymous, allowing viewers to project, reflect, and question: What do we really know about the people we see?
